New York’s November design fairs have different admission calendars
Public browsing, previews and industry registration follow different schedules at Salon Art + Design, COLLECTIBLE and BDNY.

Three New York design fairs overlap this November, but their opening dates describe different kinds of access. Forbes’s November 1 guide puts Salon Art + Design, COLLECTIBLE and BDNY together. The organizers’ schedules, checked November 2, make the practical distinctions clearer.
Salon Art + Design: public days start November 6
Salon takes place at the Park Avenue Armory, 643 Park Avenue. Its public hours are Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7, 11 a.m.–7 p.m.; Sunday, November 8, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. General admission is $35 for one day, or $65 for all three public days. Students with valid ID can buy $10 tickets at the door.
The wider November 4–8 event calendar includes separately ticketed benefits and invitation-only previews. A general-admission visit belongs on the public-day schedule, rather than automatically on the first date displayed in the fair’s headline.
COLLECTIBLE: the same public days, a later Sunday finish
COLLECTIBLE’s New York fair is at 210 East 86th Street. Public hours are November 6–7, 11 a.m.–7 p.m., and November 8, 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Its practical-information page separates these from the invitation-only November 4–5 press, collector and VIP events.
BDNY: check the registration category and pass
BDNY runs November 8–9 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, 429 11th Avenue, with trade-fair hours of 10 a.m.–5 p.m. both days. The hospitality-design event uses registration categories for industry professionals, students, educators and other specified roles. Student and educator categories require credentials.
Its trade-fair pass covers the floor and free floor sessions; a Conference Pass is required for CEU-accredited sessions. Those are different access levels within the same event. The organizer also states that children under 16 cannot enter the show floor.
The Sunday overlap has three closing times
November 8 is the date shared by all three fairs, with Salon closing at 4 p.m., BDNY at 5 p.m. and COLLECTIBLE at 6 p.m. A useful itinerary starts with the admission you hold and the hours attached to it. Check the linked organizer pages before purchasing or setting out, since schedules and admission arrangements can change.
